FAIRLAWN: During its meeting Thursday, the Fairlawn Planning Commission unanimously approved a proposal by Mayor William Roth to replace a pedestrian bridge in Croghan Park.

Roth proposed replacing the 40-year-old walk bridge as part of the renovation project for Croghan Park, which is located at the intersection of North Miller Road and Sand Run Parkway.

In May, Fairlawn City Council unanimously authorized Mayor William Roth to begin renovating the park.

Some other ideas for additions to the park include converting a retention pond into a rain garden.

Fairlawn City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Fairlawn City Hall.
